It wasn't until I saw this picture of me in the background that I realized just how much bigger I looked than I actually felt. And believe me I do not feel small by any means.
After baby #1, weight loss was not an issue for me. I was 22 years old, and the weight fell off me. I nursed for nine months and frankly I could eat whatever I wanted and it would not stay on. I was down to about 114 pounds. Then I stopped nursing and I was up to about 125 and I was fine with this weight. However, the 35 pounds I put on with baby #2 did not fall off quite as easy. And this time, after baby #3, it is not coming off at all.
So that is why, I am cutting calories. Yes, I am nursing, and I worry about my milk supply and all that goes along with it, but the longer I put off losing weight, the more I fear I will keep it on for life.
Yesterday, I ate 1272 calories and went on a 4 mile bike ride, pulling one child for 2 miles and 2 children for the other two. I woke up this morning weighing 149.8
I hope by writing this blog, I will be held accountable by someone other than myself... or at least I will feel like I am. Wish me luck on my weight loss journey post baby #3.
